Description
Located in Shanghai, China, the 100-meter-tall Infinity Tower is an innovative design comprising two commercial towers. Inspired by two dancing cranes—symbols of longevity, wisdom, and loyalty—the design creates a dynamic dialogue between the two structures.
The towers share a strong formal relationship, with the geometry of one mirrored in the other so that they are read together as a single composition. At the 15th floor, the symmetrical towers are connected by an open viewing platform. An elliptical oculus punctures the platform, creating dramatic sightlines from the entrance plaza upward through the opening and from the platform down to the plaza below.
Together, the towers and connecting terrace form a gateway to the Flying Fish commercial complex in Shanghai’s Free Trade Zone. At ground level, they frame an entrance plaza organized around a circular water feature and a small landscaped park.
The towers have a combined floor area of 77,000 square meters.
